Late Night Board Retreat

As a continuation of the HPOA Board’s increasing focus on night-time safety issues in the District, the directors have decided to see for themselves the state of Hollywood in the late hours of the evening and early morning. The weekend of May 18, the board members will be taking to the streets in teams to witness various parts of the District from a new perspective. Starting at midnight, the teams will embark on several missions to examine the nightlife and experience what it’s like to be a visitor to the BID long after most businesses have closed and the nightclubs are in full swing. The next morning, they will gather for a debriefing and visioning session to determine priorities for the coming months. |

If you have valuables in your car, please remove them if possible when leaving your car. Metro Announces More Trains More Often

Today Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa announced that Metro will be increasing the frequency of trains on the Red, Purple, and Blue lines. Beginning on Sunday, November 13, trains will run every ten minutes after 6:00 p.m. until midnight. HPOA Board President Thaddeus Smith also spoke at the press conference to voice Hollywood's appreciation for Metro and the new program. If the program is successful, Metro will consider lengthening the hours of operation in 2012. In addition to the added service, Metro has partnered with attractions, stores and restaurants to offer discount to riders. For more information, click here. |

A new, refined bowling lounge tucked into the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is open to kick off the new year. As there are only two lanes available, you'll have to find something to entertain you while you're waiting to bowl, and luckily you'll find plenty of games in the lower lounge.
